Call for nominations for Working Groups on Energy Asset Integrity Management

(from Individuals / Institutions involved in energy asset integrity management)

Preamble

Importance of “Energy Asset Integrity Management” to ensure enhanced production, with adequate safety is realized by all stake holders. There have been suggestions to hold this symposium on a regular basis and create a community to look at the asset management issues in an integrated manner.

For effective asset integrity management program, different aspects of energy management have to be looked at in an integrated manner. To achieve this, the organisers have decided to create multi-institutional, cross disciplinary working groups on the core issues related to the Energy Asset Integrity Management viz:

  • Operations (maintenance, risk assessment and mitigation; safety, production increase etc.)
  • Inspection (NDE, Drones, Robotics Etc)
  • Integrity Assessment (corrosion, fatigue, creep, wear, erosion, materials testing; codes and compliance; integrity assessment, fitness for service (FFS), life assessment and extension (RLA/RLE) etc.)
  • Digitalisation(IIoT, Edge Devices, Cloud computing, AI/ML/DL; digital twin; AR/VR; Computer Vision, etc)

Role of the Working Groups

Working committees will compile working theme papers/ concept notes the status of the industry practice, challenges faced, latest developments, innovative solutions developed by energy companies, and services available by technology / service providers, start ups, etc. These working groups form their internal sub groups, committees will form groups/ subgroups.

Functioning of Working Groups

Each working group will have a chair person, and a co-chair person. Each group will constitute multiple sub groups, which will have a convenor for each sub-group. For eg, the working group on INSPECTION, can have sub-groups on inspection practices, NDE, Drones, Robotics etc. Similarly for other groups. These groups will meet on independently at intervals and submit their reports.

Dissemination of reports:

Reports generated by the working groups will be disseminated widely to all stakeholders including government executives and policy makers, management of energy companies, energy company executives involved in asset management, technology providers, solution / service providers, academic institutions, and R&D professionals, and start up ecosystem. This will be done using web based tools, seminars, webinars etc.
